Job Description: The incumbent shall perform the following duties and functions:
Identify and Conduct repairs to steel framed buildings.
Conduct retrofits/extensions/modifications to building-using carpentry, tiling, basic plumbing/guttering, and vinyl/carpet laying skills.
Use and maintain tools, such as power tools, hammers, cutting tools using standard operating procedures in English.
Prepare and clean buildings.
Store, selects, pack and return items that go in buildings.
Prepare building for transit.
Unpack and Test run/Clean items that were inside the buildings when they are returned from hire.
Identify and advise for any defective equipment.
Operate forklift to load/unload materials preferably with driving license.
Compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
Can work in a team environment or can work individually under general supervision.
Selection Criteria:
Carpenter trade qualifications to Australian requirements.
Has worked with steel based buildings.
Basic knowledge and experience in plumbing, tiling and vinyl covering works.
Good written and verbal understanding of English.
Understand concept and application of quality control technique.
Able to inspect products and materials in relation to established operational standards.
Knowledgeable with production documents and knows how to read detailed drawings.
Can obtain forklift license
