Qualified Marine Fitter
Minimum of 3+ years experience in working as Marine Fitter in a shipbuilding and or repair facility.
Must have experience in fitting underwater gear such as propeller shafts, propellers, rudders to vessels.
Must have experience in fitting Diesel engines to vessels such as Caterpillar, Yanmar and MTU engines.
Lathe & milling experience preferred
An advantage to have MIG & TIG welding experience in mild steel and stainless steel.
In this role the candidates will be responsible for:
Fitting underwater gear such as propeller shafts, propellers, rudders to vessels.
Fitting Diesel engines to vessels such as Caterpillar, Yanmar and MTU engines.
Plumbing of raw water systems throughout vessels.
